Basemental Records is an indie label based in upstate NY & is home to Al & the Transamericans, Before Cowboys, Diane Schnier, Al.one, Al Schnier & a variety of other projects.  We pride ourselves on making unique recordings, utilizing a wide array of vintage recording gear & musical instruments in a rural setting - not unlike many of the classic albums made in the past.  

Many of the musicians are part of a larger extended family that enjoys playing & recording together as part of an informal collective who's roots go back almost 20 years.  Members of moe., the Transamericans, Lynch, Okemah, Ominous Seapods, Before Cowboys, Gordon Stone Band, Strangefolk, & more are still recording together today.

Diane Schnier is releasing her 4th album! This brand new release, entitled, "Unadorned", features 12 new songs. As the title suggests, this album is very intimate. It is essentially, a singer-songwriter album, that focuses on vocals & solo piano, & really lets the songs come thru.
